Appraisals
Goldman Associates was founded with an emphasis on appraisal services. For
forty years Jay Goldman has been active in the West Virginia Appraisal Market
developing a comprehensive database to assure accurate, market-based
valuations and provide quality service to clients. Through the negotiation and
valuation processes there is a good flow of data from the sales and leasing
brokerage aspect for Goldman Associates to the appraisal/consulting area.
Goldman Associates is proud of a diverse roster of appraisal clients which has
been developed and includes banks and lending institutions, attorneys,
government entities, and corporate clients. Special emphasis has been placed
on litigation support services to help law firms defend and prosecute claims
as well as to provide guidance in related areas.
The appraisals which Goldman Associates has performed are throughout the State
of West Virginia. They include specific emphasis on the Advantage Valley which
is a corridor extending from Huntington through Charleston.
Consulting services are provided to many clients who do not need specific
valuation but rather need to define potential changes in marketing to meet
their immediate goals. This may include highest and best use studies, feasible
studies, comparison of available properties, or “what if” situations.
Auction Services
Often the auction marketing method of sale is
the right format for a property. Goldman Associates is active in real estate
auctions and has been involved in large marketing campaigns.
Jay Goldman is a licensed auctioneer and graduate of Missouri Auction School.
He has participated in numerous auctions throughout West Virginia.

Brokerage
Goldman Associates provides professional sales and leasing services for
commercial and industrial real estate throughout West Virginia. This also

Consulting Services
Goldman Associates, Inc. has been actively involved in providing consulting
services to individuals, corporations and attorneys. Often, the client does
not need an appraisal, but must rely on the experience of the members of this
firm to provide them with current data to assist in decision making.
Our personnel are qualified as expert witnesses in several State and Federal
Courts and various litigation matters. We have been involved in bankruptcy
proceedings, both plaintiff and defense work and tax appeals. Litigation work
has involved several class action cases, environmental damage issues and
issues regarding mortgage fraud. Our depth is immense and we have worked
throughout the State of West Virginia.

Comparable
Database
Our firm has developed an expansive
database that includes approximately 1,000 comparable sales. Comparable sales
are added daily and are researched with participants in the actual
transactions. The development of this database allows us to provide a vast
amount of information including photographs and maps with our comparable
sales. The comparables are available for purchase and are delivered in
